Soundscape Through the Galaxy

Brisbane Planetarium Sound Bath & Immersive Meditation Experience

Leave the world behind. Find yourself amongst the stars.

Imagine reclining beneath a sky filled with stars.

The lights begin to fade. The first crystal singing bowl sings. A deep, resonant gong rolls gently through the space.

Your shoulders soften. Your thoughts begin to settle. And, for a little while, there's nowhere else you need to be.

Welcome to Soundscape Through the Galaxy, a breathtaking fusion of live sound, guided meditation and immersive celestial visuals inside the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium.

Created and performed by Becky English, founder of Noetic Sounds, this signature experience is more than a traditional sound bath. It's an intentionally crafted journey through sound, silence and the cosmos, inviting you to experience profound stillness, connection and wonder.

An extraordinary evening. An experience you'll want to return to.

Soundscape Through the Galaxy II - Guided Meditation

7.30pm

For those longing to switch off, deeply relax and escape the demands of everyday life.

Your journey begins with Becky's calming guided meditation, inviting your body to soften and your mind to settle.

As the Cosmic SkyDome comes alive with breathtaking celestial imagery, live crystal singing bowls, deep gong resonance and carefully layered instrumentation carry you through an evolving soundscape of tranquillity and wonder.

A beautiful opportunity to reconnect with yourself beneath the stars.

Why Soundscape Through the Galaxy Is Different

Not simply more sound. A more considered experience.

True immersion isn't about filling every moment with sound.

It's about knowing when to introduce a note, when to allow it to resonate, when to build intensity and when to let silence speak.

Soundscape Through the Galaxy is created and performed by one experienced facilitator, bringing together live instrumentation, meditative guidance and celestial imagery in a thoughtfully structured experience.

Every element has its place.

The sound has space to breathe.

Crystal singing bowls offer luminous tones and delicate harmonies. The gong introduces rich, evolving resonance. Gentle transitions, carefully considered dynamics and moments of stillness allow the journey to unfold naturally, without unnecessary sensory overload.

This is the art of sound facilitation: creating an experience that feels cohesive, immersive and deeply supportive of relaxation.

The Noetic Sounds Difference

  • One experienced facilitator: A cohesive journey guided by Becky English from beginning to end.

  • Intentional sound design: Thoughtfully selected instruments, musical intervals, dynamics and pacing.

  • Space for silence: Moments of quiet are as important as the sounds themselves.

  • Guidance with purpose: Meditation and sound work together to invite calm and inner awareness.

  • Immersive celestial visuals: The spectacular Cosmic SkyDome adds another dimension to the experience.

  • A journey that evolves: Each Planetarium performance brings fresh creative elements and opportunities for discovery.

Nothing to achieve. Nothing to work out. Simply an invitation to experience.

What Does It Feel Like to Journey Through the Galaxy?

First, the world begins to quieten.

You settle into your reclining Planetarium seat as Becky's voice gently guides your attention away from the demands of everyday life.

Your breathing finds its own rhythm. Your body is invited to rest.

Then, the universe unfolds.

Above you, the Cosmic SkyDome becomes a vast canvas of stars, planets, galaxies and celestial wonder.

The crystalline tones of singing bowls shimmer through the space. Deep gong resonance rises and falls like distant waves.

Sounds emerge, mingle and gently fade, creating a living soundscape that invites your imagination to wander.

And somewhere along the way, you find stillness.

For some, it's a feeling of floating effortlessly through space.

For others, it's the rare pleasure of being completely present, with nothing to plan, solve or accomplish.

You may experience deep rest, emotional connection, vivid imagery or simply a beautiful evening of sound and wonder.

Every journey is personal.

And when the final note fades, you may discover that the greatest journey was the one that brought you back to yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Soundscape Through the Galaxy?

Soundscape Through the Galaxy is an immersive sound bath and meditation experience held inside the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium. It combines live crystal singing bowls, gong, guided relaxation and spectacular full-dome celestial visuals.

Is this different from a traditional sound bath?

Yes. Rather than resting on a yoga mat, guests recline in Planetarium theatre seating beneath the Cosmic SkyDome. The combination of live sound, guided meditation and astronomical imagery creates a distinctive multi-sensory experience.

What is the difference between the two shows?

The earlier show features intuitive Light Language vocals woven throughout the soundscape. The later show focuses on guided meditation followed by an immersive instrumental sound journey. Both feature crystal singing bowls, gong and other instruments. The CosmicDome visuals differ for each show.

Do I need experience with meditation or sound healing?

Not at all. Both experiences welcome complete beginners. You are invited to relax and enjoy the sounds and visuals, eyes open or closed.

What is Light Language?

Light Language is an intuitive form of wordless vocal expression. Some people approach it as a spiritual practice, while others simply enjoy its melodic and expressive qualities. No particular belief or understanding is required.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable, warm clothing and consider bringing a small neck cushion, a light shawl and a bottle of water. The venue has reclining theatre chairs, so yoga mats are not required or permitted inside the dome.

Is the experience suitable for children?

The experience is recommended for ages 12 and over. Younger guests should be comfortable remaining seated quietly throughout the performance with no electronic devices.

Is VIP seating worth choosing?

VIP provides reserved front-row seating, offering a closer connection to Becky and the resonance of her instruments.

Both VIP and General Admission guests enjoy the same complete performance.
